musculoskeletal physiotherapy

An "all time favorite" of most physiotherapists! Musculoskeletal injuries are frequent: sports injuries, prolonged positions at the computer, post surgery, etc.

Sports Injury

Whether we like it or not, sometimes aches and pains accumulate and this can disturb our daily lives. When this happens, it is normal to wonder to which professional to turn to in order to manage the pain and solve the problem.

The musculoskeletal system is certainly a physiotherapist's favorite. Our training is largely focused on this system. It includes the muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, joints, fascia...It is the system that keeps us moving and doing so much in our daily lives! Or at least...when it works the way it should. Here are some examples of conditions that can be treated in physiotherapy:

  • Temporomandibular joint (jaw) disorders

  • Tendinitis and tendinopathy

  • Sports injuries (sprains, strains, tears)

  • Post fracture

  • Headaches (headaches)

  • shoulder capsulitis

  • Back pain

  • Nerve pain

  • And much more!

In physiotherapy, we believe that the least invasive approach is the one that should take priority. Especially before you start talking about injections or surgery! With a variety of techniques, your physio will be able to find a way to help you!
